The General Central of the Brazilian Workers (CGTB) in the name of all its affiliated Trade Unions, stresses our solidarity with the Palestinian workers and people and states the most deep rejection of the coward aggression by the Israeli Government, at May 31, against the Humanitarian Flotilla when it headed to the Gaza Strip but was still on international waters, in special the Turkish boat, Mavi Marmara, causing deaths and hurting other dozens of innocent civilians by shooting at point blank range.
This act of barbarian and terrorist act by a State with officials that clearly lost their mind control and sank into murder and war criminality represent a new bloody step in the policies of genocide completely condemned by the UN and despised by peoples of the whole world, with grave international implications, threatening the Palestinian people and also the peace at the whole Middle East.
After years of massacres, muders, land assault and aggression against the national Palestinian People rights and systematic deny of the International Law, Israel is now resorting to murder and terror in order to avert humanitarian help to the Palestinian people of Gaza which is now suffering all kinds of disastrous consequences of the blockade imposed by Israel.
CGTB stresses that the Israelian negative to receive the UN indicated international probe team inside its borders is in reality a confession of guilty of this war crime. So, CGTB also rejects the hypocrite lies classifying the murder of innocent civilians as a supposed “self defense”.
We state our solidarity and acknowledgement to the noble and heroic initiative of the companions of the Freedom Flotilla and our condolences to the victims of the Israeli aggression against the boat Mavi Marmara.
We demand the immediate end of the inhuman blockade to Gaza that lasts since 2007 and makes the people that live at the Strip victims of misery and terror caused by the unacceptable blockade and calls all the Brazilian and International social organizations to act in solidarity with Palestinian people until the end of the occupation and the achievement of all their national rights and freedom.
